Information for Current Members | Officers
We elect officers once a year at the annual fall meeting. Nominations for open positions must be submitted in time to be posted on the listserv, printed in the newsletter or otherwise circulated before voting takes place. The only qualification to be an officer is that a person be a dues-paying member. If you would like to learn more about becoming an officer with this group, please contact the current Vice-President.
Special Comments: The Vice President is usually the President-Elect, who is expected to run for President, and therefore, essentially serves a two-year term. Because of the more complicated nature of the Treasurer's job, the person filling the position usually serves at least a two-year term. The Secretary serves a one-year, renewable term. Board Members are two positions filled by two people who have been an active part of the group, and can help guide newer positions in the fulfillment of their duties. "Deadwood" is comprised of all who have served as President.
