Antananarivo, Madagascar: Two happy friends take a welcome break in the grass beside a small outdoor brick factory on the outskirts of Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital. Today's workday involves two tasks: hoeing the field behind them in preparation for planting, and helping their mothers carry as many as thirty large bricks stacked on coiled cloths on their heads across the field to a village two kilometers away.
