A local micro-finance loan program emphasizing women's empowerment has helped turn this woman's Oaxacan cottage industry into a thriving business. The combined focus on local culture and opportunities for women offers entrepreneurs the chance to grow and improve their businesses, thereby bringing increased economic stability to families and communities both in Oaxaca and across Mexico.
As this woman proudly demonstrates how she makes her tortillas so delicious, she also explains how this micro-finance program has helped her develop and grow her business.
