International Calendar 2025
The 2025 International Calendar and the Importance of Support
Countries featured in 2025: Madagascar, Bosnia, Kenya, Namibia, Libya, Vietnam, Albania, Bolivia, Mongolia, Niger, Poland, Argentina, and Ghana.
Like Madagascar’s giant baobabs that both support and benefit from the ecosystem around them, the International Calendar both supports and benefits from Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) everywhere. The calendar exists to highlight the work of Peace Corps in promoting a more peaceful world while PCVs, RPCVs, and others provide the photos and stories that add personal meaning to the calendar.
Photos showing the people and countries served by volunteers offer a glimpse into other lives and pave the way for new understanding. Fostering an appreciation of other peoples is what the Third Goal of Peace Corps is all about: to promote an understanding of the peoples and cultures of other countries on the part of Americans. This calendar represents the cornerstone of the Third Goal work of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) of Wisconsin-Madison.
Along with introducing you to places that volunteers see and experience firsthand, the International Calendar funds the donations programs of many other RPCV groups. Through grants to the Peace Corps Partnership Program (PCPP), which connects PCVs with funding for community-initiated projects, the calendar directly supports volunteers and the people they serve. Other funds are donated directly to development projects at home and abroad.
We could not generate the resources to support those projects without your support. So when you purchase a calendar, you too are contributing to the support of Peace Corps—and to the many other good works that this calendar supports.
The Peace Corps has changed and grown in its 60+ years, but volunteers still dedicate themselves to its original goals:
1. To help the countries interested meeting their need for trained people.
2. To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served.
3. To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
The International Calendar Project represents the backbone of the "3rd goal" work of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in and around Madison, Wisconsin. By celebrating the countries, cultures, and people served by Peace Corps, we hope to foster a better understanding of people everywhere and an appreciation for all world cultures. In addition, in the 3+ decades of publishing this calendar, more than $1.5 million in sales proceeds have been used to support development projects at home and abroad.
Your purchase of this calendar makes this work possible and helps us celebrate Peace Corps—and those served by Peace Corps.
Thank you for your support!
