Wildlife tourism is a thriving industry in South Africa and groups of schoolchildren often visit wildlife refuges to learn about the importance of conservation and protection, as well as to visit traditional Shangaan lands that are a part of their heritage. At nearly 20,000 square kilometers, Kruger is one of the largest game reserves in Africa, and is surrounded by traditional communities of the Shangaan, or Tsonga, people. |
