Pakistan 2022 Recipes

Masala Bread Toast

INGREDIENTS:
1 kg potatoes
1 cup chopped onion
2 Tablespoons chopped green chilies
½ Tablespoon red chili powder
1 Tablespoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground tumeric
½ teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
1 cup chopped capsicum/red pepper
½ cup chopped carrots
Bread slices as required
Cheese slices as required
Oil for frying
3 eggs
¼ teaspoon white pepper
Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a pot, simmer water; add potatoes and boil for 25 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are fully cooked.
2. Drain potatoes, put them in a bowl, and mash them well.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add onion and cook for a minute. Then add carrots, capsicum, green chilies, red chili powder, coriander, turmeric garam masala and salt. Lastly add mashed potatoes and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside.
4. Make egg mixture: In a bowl add egg, salt, white pepper and whisk it well.
5. Take a bread slice, spread potato mixture on it evenly. Dip it in the egg mixture and shallow fry both sides until light golden brown.

Option 2: Spread potato mixture on a piece of bread and place a cheese slice on it; then cover it again with potato mixture and dip in egg. Now shallow fry both sides until light golden brown.
