THE 2027 INTERNATIONAL CALENDAR
In these days of digital calendars at our fingertips—on our phones, computers, and even on our watches—why are we still creating a printed wall calendar?
We do it because the International Calendar is a way for us to shine a spotlight on the quiet corners and incredible places where Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) serve. We do it because we want to share the dozens of incredible photographs we receive every year that honor the people and celebrate the cultures PCVs come to know in their two years of service. We do it in support of Peace Corps and its important goal of promoting world peace and friendship through voluntary service overseas.
It is our labor of love.
First published in 1988 by the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Wisconsin–Madison, the International Calendar is a cornerstone of our Third Goal efforts: promoting a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans. The calendar not only highlights and celebrates countries where PCVs have served but it is an important fundraiser for us and for other RPCV groups across the country. Proceeds from calendar sales support PCVs in the field and development projects at home. So, when you purchase and share this calendar with others, you too are honoring the important work of Peace Corps and contributing to the good works that this calendar supports.
In addition to the 2027 photos featuring India, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Guatemala, Nepal, Haiti, South Africa, Colombia, Morocco, Mexico, Türkiye, and—for the first time ever, Eritrea, the 2027 International Calendar offers a comprehensive daily listing of one or more holidays, holy days, or special events celebrated somewhere around the world. Buy it and put it up on YOUR wall to learn more about peoples and places around the world. This is a wall calendar unlike any other wall calendar!
