International Calendar 2018

International Calendar 2018

The newest calendar features photos from Sudan, Nepal, Ukraine, Madagascar, Thailand, Niger, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Lesotho, Iran, and—for the first time, Myanmar.

Along with beautiful photos and holidays and holy days observed around the world, there is fascinating information about the cultures and economies of the featured countries. You’ll also find recipes to try and music, films, and literature to explore.

Now in its 30th year of publishing, the International Calendar Project makes it possible for the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) of Wisconsin–Madison to share the Peace Corps experience and the wide world with you, our friends and family members. In doing so, we are carrying out the important “Third Goal” to which Peace Corps Volunteers dedicate themselves: Helping promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans. This calendar represents a celebration of the rich and varied cultures we have experienced and the people we’ve met along the way.

Publishing the International Calendar for 30 years has also allowed the Madison RPCVs to raise more than $1.2 million to fund development projects at home and abroad. Other RPCV groups around the country also use the calendar for fundraising, thereby increasing the reach and impact of the International Calendar—and our collective Third Goal efforts. Your purchase of this calendar helps support this important work.

To celebrate 30 years of Third Goal work, the 2018 International Calendar also includes photos of some of the many projects we have funded—with your support—over the past 30 years.

Thank you for your support!
